TERM LOANS / DEFINED CAPITAL

One investment.
A clear plan.

Fund a defined business need with a single advance and an agreed repayment schedule. A term loan is fixed-amount financing—not a revolving line. Compare the full obligation against the cash flow your investment can support.

01 / Purpose

Define the investment.

Best for a planned expansion, renovation or other one-time business expense with a clear budget.

02 / Structure

Know the obligation.

Review the amount received, total repayment, payment frequency and term together—not just the quoted rate.

03 / Cash flow

Keep room to operate.

Match scheduled payments to realistic business cash flow. Fixed amount does not necessarily mean a fixed interest rate; check the agreement.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Read the whole term.

  • What amount reaches the business after fees?
  • Is the rate fixed or variable, and what is the total repayment?
  • Are payments daily, weekly or monthly?
  • Does early repayment reduce cost, and are penalties charged?
  • What collateral, guarantees and covenants apply?

Recurring needs instead?

If your business needs flexible access for recurring expenses, compare a line of credit →. For a specific asset purchase, ask which equipment structure fits the asset and its useful life.
